ARIES
March 20 - April 19
SYMBOL: The Ram
ELEMENT: Fire
RULER: Mars
MANTRA: Every challenge I face becomes an opportunity for growth

Welcome to Aries season! Aries season wraps around us with its fiery embrace, ushering in longer days and a nourishing heat radiating down on us from the Sun. Never one for subtlety, this adored - and impetuous! - fire sign charges through life, relationships and goals with the fierce tenacity of a ram competing for total dominance. They take being a leader seriously and are not afraid to say or do what hasn’t been done before.
ARIES TRAITS
You can typically spot an Aries because something about them makes them seem like they should be walking around with a sash that says No 1. Aries are the human manifestation of a red sports car, LOL. Aries is also what astrologers refer to as a cardinal sign (as opposed to mutable or fixed signs, which I’ll address in future posts). Cardinal signs are at the top of the season—in Aries’ case, spring. But Aries isn’t just the first zodiac sign of spring; it’s also the first sign of the zodiac wheel…surprise! Yes, the astrological wheel aligns with the Spring Equinox, signifying a new cycle and new beginnings, thus Aries is the traditional starting point for the Zodiac wheel. Maybe this is why Aries loves coming in first place in everything they do. Cardinal signs are leaders and trendsetters, and being ruled by Mars, Aries has a daring, dashing, go-getter attitude.
The Aries’ positive energy is contagious! They’re generous and nurturing and enjoy taking care of others in their own special way, making others smile and be happy (annnd sharing their well-meaning - but uninvited - gifts and advice…always, the advice…LOL). Aries loves being in a bunch of different social circles and enjoys having a LOT of friends. Aries desires to connect intimately with the world around them, to feel a sense of unity; they can drum up a following that eagerly supports their work and idolizes them as a trendsetter.
Aries are tough cookies, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t sensitive. They are very sentimental and carry a lot in their hearts and the past still holds deep meaning to them. Authenticity means everything to them and they will feel the heat of passion when something they believe strongly is challenged. An Aries is not afraid of confrontation or disagreement! Passion is what drives everything they do…especially when it comes to romance. These dynamic lovers thrive on passion and action, craving relationships that keep them on their toes, vibrant stimulating partnerships. If there is no passion, they are uninterested and a bored Aries is an unhappy Aries, and their spontaneous nature will quickly send them packing in search of the next best thing.
The pride of an Aries can be their Achilles heel, causing an inability to listen to others, take criticism or rest. (Their true vulnerability, though, lies in insecurity...deep, deep down, all Aries wonder if they’re really, truly good enough.) Being ruled by Mars, the planet of action and war, they can be rather impulsive and impatient, ruthless and insensitive, disdainful of authority, and may explode into an irrational rage when things don’t go their way. Striking a balance between selfishness and selflessness requires the mature Aries to behave in their own self-interest in certain situations… and be generous and compassionate in others. Being conscientious of their actions and how they affect others might be the most essential lesson an Aries can learn.
Our signature Aries artisan botanical soap bar evokes rust-red mesas and burnt umber plateaus jutting like sentinels out of the infinite sea of wind-rippled dunes. Our inspiration comes from Arizona's Painted Desert, a surreal kaleidoscopic landscape of dramatic multi-hued rock formations in an unending expanse of arid desert. Dramatic and utterly spectacular! Its stand-out design is def giving Aries vibes! Do you agree?

(psst...Did you know that the Red Planet, Mars, has mesas??)
Our stunning Aries bar is sure to spark your interest with its spicy top notes of clove and peppercorn wrapped in rich leather, teakwood and tobacco leaf, and finishing with a whisper of smoke. Bold & adventurous!
Each of our signature bars is stamped with the Aries constellation. When they’re gone, that’s that! But we’ll have a limited supply of smaller 3oz bars that we hope to have in stock thru the end of the year.
The Ram
The Aries constellation is represented by the Ram. The Ram has two massive horns on his head, depicted by the stars Sheratan and Mesarthim. His front legs point forward in a galloping stance. The back legs are drawn up to give the animal speed as he leaps through the sky on a mission to achieve. The star Botein marks the belly of the Ram and forms part of the famous triangle that lies on his hindquarters.

The Ram, with its powerful horns and unwavering determination, serves as the perfect embodiment of these quintessential Aries traits. Nobody can get in the way of the headstrong Ram.They are there to impress, for better or worse.
Just as the Ram is the first to charge headfirst into any challenge, Aries individuals are often the trailblazers of the zodiac, leading the way with their infectious enthusiasm and pioneering spirit. The Ram's impulsive nature and tendency to butt heads with obstacles mirrors the Aries' own headstrong approach to life, where they fearlessly tackle problems head-on, driven by an insatiable desire for recognition and adventure.
The legend of the Aries Ram finds its roots in Greek mythology, specifically the tale of the Golden Fleece. In this classic story, Ino, the evil stepmother of two children – Phrixus and Helle – decided to sacrifice them to appease the Gods during a long drought (in reality, she just wanted to get rid of them!). Their real mother Nephele, a cloud nymph, sent a winged ram with a golden fleece to rescue her children. The winged ram carried the children away. Tragically Helle fell off the ram and drowned; Phrixus survived the journey, arriving at the court of King Aeёtes of Colchis. He gave the ram to the King as a gift and ended up marrying his daughter.

King Aeёtes kept the Golden Fleece in a sacred grove, protected by a fearsome dragon that never slept. Now you’ve probably heard about Jason and the Argonauts and the Golden Fleece from Greek Mythology (if not, click the hyperlink to read all about it…it’s a bit lengthy to include here!). Well the story ends with Jason, who outwitted the dragon and stole the fleece. Zeus commemorated Jason’s epic quest by putting Aries the ram up in the sky as a constellation.
This mythological narrative not only solidified the Ram's association with the Aries constellation but also imbued the creature with a sense of bravery, sacrifice, and the pursuit of a noble quest - all qualities that resonate deeply with the Aries spirit. The Ram's ability to swiftly navigate the skies and deliver the children to safety further echoes the Aries' innate talent for decisive action and problem-solving.
Our signature The Ram perfume oil roller perfectly captures the passionate, fiery heart of the Aries personality. Dark rose and romantic violet embrace the rich heart of this seductive blend while a warm ribbon of spicy saffron, earthy vetiver and soothing sandalwood offer a sensual finishing touch. Distinctive & irresistable!
BRAND NEW SOAP LINE! GOAT MILK SOAP IS COMING SOON!

In keeping with the Ram theme, we have a HUGE announcement to make! For the first time ever we are introducing a goat milk soap line! Folks have inquired for years, and we've always said the same thing...we're staying in our lane and sticking solely with plant-based soaps. But times are changing and we need to be relevant and competitive where ever that makes sense for our business. And what better way to celebrate Aries season than to release a line of goat milk soaps!? (ok, techically a ram is a sheep, and not a goat, but nobody asks for sheep milk soap, LOL!) We procured fresh goat milk from our friends over at Celebrity Dairy and created a minimalist line of seasonally inspired goat milk soaps to launch this exciting new offering.
We've scented these bars in timeless spring faves and given them charming yet simple names - the sort of endearing names you'd give to your baby goats...but that also hint at their scents! Lilac, Apricot, and Fleece will be joining our Solstice artisan soap family later in Aries season. These bars are still curing so stay tuned on Instagram for their release date announcment later this month!
Fire Element
The four elements - Earth, Air, Fire, Water - are key components associated with each astrological sign. Tuning in to the language of the elements throughout each season of the year can offer powerful guidance for self-growth and awareness, helping one cultivate a deeper connection to the Universe and the Divine. When we honor and accept the interconnectedness of our place within the natural world and its inherent energies and influences, we can be empowered to manifest the world we want to live in.
The elements speak to the core essence of each sign, and each element influences 3 signs. Elemental magick will feature prominently within each product collection. From body sprays to bath salts, we'll have exciting new offerings every month that we hope you will love.
Warm, spirited, riveting, intense, electric and HOT! Fire calls our attention to places deep within us…calling us back to our power, our wild nature, our inner flame and carnal self. Of all the elements, fire is arguably the most dangerous, the most difficult to control, and the most volatile. But with it comes transformation like nothing else - like the phoenix reborn from its own ashes. The energy of fire is deeply alchemical; it is illumination, vibrancy, passion, creation, and initiation. Fire teaches us perceptivity - what is meant to burn and what is meant to grow. The sacred flame clears away what is not meant for us and forces us to move through the fire to the gift it promises…to what rises from the ashes.

Thus far in our Zodiac journey, we’ve learned that we can directly connect with each of the elements. To connect with the Earth, one need only touch the ground and experience nature; to connect with Air, breathe deeply; to connect with Water, take a bath, a swim, or just sit and watch the waves. But Fire doesn’t allow for direct contact - fire is dangerous; it requires distance and safety. Fire must be watched with reverence, respect and presence. We can, however, connect to fire in safe ways. We can light a candle or a bonfire, sit in the sun and soak up that Vitamin D, channel our sexual energy, transmute our rage through art, eat spicy foods, and connect with red/orange/yellow crystals.
VESTA: Fire Element Ritual Bath & Body Oil Blend

Our ritual Elemental body oils offer a unique and deeply personal method for attuning to each element and season. The oil may be utilized simply as a part of a nourishing skincare routine or as an intentional ritual to establish balance and rhythm in one's life path. For our Aries Collection, we have paired our luxury bath & body oil with a warming (and perhaps passion-stoking!) aromatic palette. As you may have noticed if you’ve been following along, each of our bath & body oil aromatic blends also honor a particular deity associated with both the element and the season. For Aries season, we have chosen the Roman Goddess Vesta as our guide on this aromatic journey - the Goddess of the Hearth and the Sacred Flame. Vesta’s sacred flame represents our inner light - our spiritual self. Working with this goddess can help us create a sense of inner peace and emotional stability. Vesta’s soothing, welcoming, warm energy makes her a lovely goddess to connect with during Aries season, to balance out the fiery vigor and dynamic excitement of Spring and bring you safely home to a place of peace and stability.
Our Vesta blend starts with intoxicating black rose, accented by spicy pink peppercorn, creamy vanilla, dark patchouli, earthy labdanum & sultry warm amber, with just a whisper of smokiness, to create a mystical aromatic journey of dark sophistication and seduction. Its comforting warmth may wrap you in its cozy embrace like a crackling fire on a cold day OR it might just light your passionate inner fire....either way, her fire will burn. Burn baby, burn. :)
Ring of Fire Candle Collection
If you’ve been following along, you know that each Zodiac collection includes an Element-specific product that perfectly captures the elemental magick of each sign. For our Aries collection, we have created a stunningly unique candle collection that offers an opportunity to work with candle magick and tap into the fire element in a loving, intentional manner.
The “ring of fire” refers to a long horseshoe-shaped seismically active belt of earthquake epicentres, volcanoes, and tectonic plate boundaries that fringes the Pacific basin. The overwhelming majority of the world’s strongest earthquakes, and approximately 75% of the world’s volcanoes occur within the Pacific Ring of Fire. Lava carries both the immense, destructive and alchemical energy of fire alongside the grounding, earth energy of semi-liquid rock as molten magma below the Earth’s crust, and as lava rock after it cools and creates new landmass. It is dense, intense, and truly otherworldly.
Our Ring of Fire candle collection pays homage to a trio of fire deities, some known specifically for their connections to volcanoes. Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of Fire, lightning, wind, dance and volcanoes, who is said to reside in the Halemaumau crater at the summit of Kilauea, one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Vulcan, the Roman God of Fire, forge and volcanoes; the patron of artisans and smiths. Ares, the Greek God of War (Roman counterpart is Mars) who was known for his appetite for destruction and unbridled passion and aggression, who carried a flaming torch, symbolizing chaos. We have paired these powerful deities with an aromatic palette appropriate for both the spring season AND the fiery energy they represent. Such a feat was no small task! Our aromas embrace both floral and spice notes that we think perfectly embody our intention.

These captivating candles are not only beautiful to look at when not lit, making for a stunning addition to your home decor, but they become especially enrapturing when lit and in a dimly lit environment.
Pele - Top notes of bergamot and tangerine burst forth with brilliance while a zesty heart of ginger unfurls to reveal a grounding base of cedarwood and patchouli. Wild woman archetype vibes!
Ares - Bold cassis (black currant) is wrapped in a dreamy embrace of sweet jasmine and fresh peach, whilst an intriguing spicy-sweet base of anise, black tea and tonk add a luxurious finish. It's giving dark romance core vibes.
Vulcan - Bright apricot top notes offer an invigorating opening act that plays into a dazzling second act of peppery ginger, exotic saffron, and an earthy finish of cedarwood, patchouli and vetiver. A virtuoso of passion!
Fire Meditation: As you prepare to light your candle, find a comfortable sitting spot and ground yourself into the present moment. Take deep breaths until you are fully relaxed. Light your candle and visualize lava moving ever so slowly from the top of your head/crown chakra to your feet. Take your time; feel the warmth consuming your body, melt into it and allow yourself to be carried with it as it embraces and transforms you. Exhale anything you wish to release and visualize it burning up in the lava. When you are ready, take some deep breaths, thank the lava (and/or lava deity of your preference), and enjoy your candle magick.
PLANETARY INFLUENCE: MARS
Astronomer Galileo Galilei was the first to use a telescope in astronomy to observe Mars in 1609. The planet has two moons and is known for its red color and rocky terrain. The reddish appearance of Mars, attributed to the presence of iron oxide on its surface, fascinated ancient observers. The color evoked imagery of blood and fire, further reinforcing its association with Mars, the Roman God of War.

One of the most compelling aspects of Mars is the question of life—past, present, or potential future existence. The Martian landscape, with its ancient riverbeds and subsurface water ice, hints at a complex geological history that may have included conditions suitable for life. Searching for extraterrestrial life is a central theme in Mars exploration. The quest for Mars is not merely a scientific endeavor but a testament to the enduring fascination with the cosmic warrior that has beckoned humanity for millennia. Whether through the lens of mythology, astrology, or scientific exploration, Mars stands as a celestial beacon, challenging us to reach for the stars and forge a path to the Red Planet.
Mars is the boss planet for Aries. Mars rules our animal instincts for aggression, anger, and survival. Our sexual desires come under the rule of Mars. This is the planet of action rather than reaction; it rules drive, ambition, and unbridled passion. With Mars, there is no contemplation before action; it is raw primal masculine/yang energy. When we are feeling Mars’ energy, we are assertive, directed, forthright, and adventurous. It's what makes Aries people brave and so full of energy. On the negative side, an overabundance of Mars energy can make us impulsive, rash, impatient, aggressive, and forceful. Mars' influence on Aries is what feeds this fiery sign's thirst for leadership and desire to be an unstoppable force. Mars makes Aries fearless. They're not scared of challenges and will always stand up for themselves and others. Aries always have big dreams, and Mars helps them chase after those dreams with all their might.
Our Mars perfume oil captures the fiery energy of the Red Planet with a potent and heady aromatic journey that has an ancient and mystical legacy. The bleeding heart of this perfume is bold and sensual Dragon's blood resin - warm, earthy, spicy and throbbing with drama. Top notes of zesty orange warmed by the earthy embrace of cedarwood, patchouli, clove, and incense. Dragon’s Blood is a bright red resin harvested from the mystical dragon tree, Daemonorops draco. It has been used in rituals since time immemorial - from ancient Greeks using it for alchemy to Hindu priests invoking divine protection - as incense, medicine, and in sacred rituals in various cultures around the world. Its smoky whispers carry the stories of our ancestors.
Olympus Artisan Botanical Soap
With Mars as Aries' planetary influence, we couldn't overlook the Red Giant's most curious natural feature - Olympus Mons.
Olympus Mons is the largest known volcano in our solar system. Nearly 2.5x taller than Mount Everest and 3x taller than Earth's largest volcano, it's not just its height that makes this volcano so unfathomably large, its surface area covers roughly 120K square miles as well. A huge magma hotspot lies just below its surface, allowing layers upon layers of lava to build up on the surface over billions of years.
Our Olympus soap succinctly captures the stark beauty of a volcano spewing with lava. A black peak rises steeply along the edge, roughly textured with Icelandic black lava salt, while swirls of red, yellow, and orange lava erupts dramatically above. Atop the bar, textured peaks of yellow are adorned with black lava salt.
Our aromatic palette is a complex and earthy seduction of zesty orange rising over an herbal heart of lavender, eucalyptus, sage, and rose. Woody, grounding base notes of patchouli, cedarwood and vetiver intermingle with whispers of incense, smoky oud and resins. Warm, familiar, and intriguing.
TAROT CARD: THE EMPEROR
Each sign has a corresponding tarot card from the Major Arcana that symbolizes some of its characteristics. The art of the traditional Rider-Waite deck is what is used to make comparisons to the Zodiac signs. Aries is ruled by The Emperor card of the Major Arcana. The Emperor represents power, leadership and security and mirrors the determined and courageous spirit of an Aries.

The Emperor card features a wise, authoritative man sitting on a stone throne embellished with rams. His white beard represents experience, while his armor is a sign of the inevitable battle to come. Like Aries, the Emperor reminds us that, "Anything worth having is worth fighting for”! The ball in the Emperor’s right hand represents the world, or more specifically his role as the ruler of people. The red robe and vibrant sunrise support the theme of Fire and Mars, the red planet. The color red evokes initiative and action. And last but not least, the powerful mountains in the background remind us of the unyielding nature of Aries.
Both the Emperor card and the Aries personality demonstrate confidence, ambition, initiative, and a strong drive. Overall, the Emperor tarot card is a symbol of what an emperor represents: a strong foundation, an efficient ability to establish power, and the capacity and discipline to bring order to one’s life. The Emperor tells us that despite chaos surrounding us, everything is under control and harnessing your inner Emperor can bring a sense of calm. It asks you to be more assertive, to voice your truth, stand up for your values, and enact discipline. The reversed card reminds us that even the hot flame of an Aries' passion can burn too bright; that excessive control and domination can leave irreparable burns. The Emperor’s lesson for the Aries person is to balance their impulsive nature by incorporating structure and planning into their actions, essentially teaching them to lead with strategy and self-discipline in order to achieve their highest goals.
Every month we're crafting a new lotion blend for the Tarot card associated with that month's star sign. Each of our limited edition lotion blends will feature the associated tarot card on the face of the bottle. Our Emperor card aromatic blend embraces the power of the Emperor and lets your spirit reign in regal elegance! Sensual notes of black rose, patchouli, orange zest, vanilla orchid and cinnamon leaf set a sophisticated tone. Sultry and rich with lasting allure! (Fans of last year’s Briar Rose and Crimson Cloak soaps will be happy to see the return of this charismatic blend!)

AMULETS AND ALLIES
If you've visited our retail boutique, you know we loooove our crystals! Some of the larger "statement" crystals in our shop are just there for the high vibes, but we always have an eclectic selection of pocket stones and fun shapes like fairies and mushies to accompany our product collections. This year, we'll be adding custom curated tumbled crystal sets for each Zodiac sign! These sets will be included in each of our gift boxes (see below!). Now, these crystals won't necessarily align with the traditional birthstones you may be familiar with, but they will offer positive and powerful benefits for each sign.
What crystals are appropriate for our fiery Aries friends? To balance their fierce Fire sign qualities and bold Ram energy are those crystals that can temper big moods, lend patience, and bring a softer energy to those close-knit relationships in a way that doesn't douse their passionate fire, but supports it wholly.
Our Custom Curated Aries crystal collection:
Red Jasper - Radiant Red Jasper is a glorious grounding stone that supports the dynamic energy of Aries in all the right ways. Red Jasper is a powerful crystal that is associated with strength, endurance, and courage - all qualities that are essential for Aries. This stone is thought to promote confidence and self-esteem, helping Aries overcome their fears and take bold action toward their goals. This comforting root chakra stone also assists with emotional stability, which can be great for mental health and bring balance to the oft impatient and sometimes irrational Aries. Wearing a bracelet with red jasper also brings protective properties and a serious dose of courage for boosting productivity.
Bloodstone - Aries’ ruling planet, Mars, may also rule Bloodstone, but rather than aggressive energy; it brings a solid grounding energy that helps Aries to keep both feet on the floor. Bold bloodstone can clear negative energy and is said to be useful for athletes, warriors, and anyone who needs to tap into their inner strength. This powerful stone is meant for the Aries person - it can help ensure mental clarity so that their decision making is well thought out rather than jumping to action impulsively.
Garnet - Garnet is a vibrant red stone that can be the perfect match for the passion of all those bold fire signs out there; it’s a stone of courage, fire, and light. Garnet is all about passion, success, and manifestation. It reflects Aries’ natural energy and amplifies their ambitions and powers, helping them push through any obstacles to achieve success.
Clear Quartz - Clear Quartz is known as the master healer and has huge amplifying qualities. It will always double down on the inherent qualities of all other stones that accompany it. Clear quartz is also a wonderful stone for mental clarity and focus, and can also keep you centered and purify negative energies so that you step forward with positive vibes.
To further honor the Fire element and Aries energy, we have procured a very limited supply of three unique stones to sell in our retail boutique - Red tigers eye, volcanic lava rock tumbles and Yooperlite flame stone/firestone (it glows under UV light!). Red tiger’s eye for confidence, courage, creativity, and powerful provider of protection and grounding. Lava Rock balances emotions and provides a grounded, stabilized energy allowing one to heal from past traumas and flow through difficulties with a newfound ease. Rare and exquisite Yooperlite is a fluorescent mineral known for its bright, fiery glow. This stone is thought to help clear illusions, bringing the truth forward and encouraging personal and spiritual growth.
MYTHS & MAGICK
Ostara: March 20th
The Wheel of the Year is an ancient Celtic calendar based on festivals that celebrate our innate connection with nature, and the ebb and flow of the light and dark as the Earth makes its journey around the sun. The calendar revolves around eight festivals, from Imbolc to Yule – each one signaling a shift in the season, weather, and the natural world around us. The purpose of the calendar is to offer a deeper connection with nature and Mother Earth, as each season offers new gifts to be celebrated. Observing and honoring each of the cyclical seasonal stations (or sabbats) of the Wheel of the Year allows us opportunities for intention and reflection.
Ostara coincides with the Vernal Equinox occuring on March 20th, 2025, where night and day are at equal length and the official first day of spring. The vernal/spring equinox is a magical season to celebrate renewal and rebirth. We are finally emerging from the long slumber of winter into a season bursting with new growth, abundance and fertility. The energy is expansive and exuberant! You may find that you have an extra hop in your step as the days grow longer and the warming sun gives you a burst of energy and a lifting of your spirits! This time of new fertility brings with it renewed passions, artistic expression, and creativity. Go with the flow, experiment and perhaps discover a new endeavor!
Ostara takes its name after the Germanic goddess of spring and dawn, Eostre/Ostara, who was traditionally honored with festivals to celebrate fertility, renewal and re-birth. Over the centuries, the symbols of Ostara have become traditional Easter customs and symbols, such as the Easter Bunny who brings eggs to children on Easter morning. The egg (and all seeds) contains all potential, full of promise and new life. It symbolises the rebirth of nature, the fertility of the Earth and all creation.
Our Ostara bar radiates uplifting spring vibes from its tranquil green and pink palette to the splendid butterfly swirl design. Lose yourself in the dreamy allure of its welcoming aromatic palette. Bright bergamot and neroli blossom set the stage with a citrusy floral sparkle, while the heart unfolds with soft heliotrope and creamy santal. The journey concludes with a rich base of oud wood, warm musk, and golden amber.

Ready for Retrogrades (and Eclipses)??
In astrology, a retrograde refers to a period of time during which a planet appears to be moving backwards in the sky, retracing its most recent steps through the zodiac. The planets aren’t actually moving backward in their orbit—it’s an optical illusion that makes it look that way—but astrologically, this backpedal can have some major effects. Retrogrades have a reputation for being chaotic and unpleasant, particularly Mercury retrogrades as this planet governs timing and communication—which is why its backspins are notorious for bringing mental mix-ups, scheduling snags, and other logistical mishaps.
Since you can't really avoid retrogrades, your best bet is to embrace their funky energy as best you can! If you’re willing to embrace reflection, revision, and integration instead of action, and be patient, flexible and adapt to any unexpected situations, you can survive any retrograde's side effects.
Almost everyone has heard about those annoying Mercury retrogrades since they disrupt communications and technology (and especially because they occur 3-4x/yr!), but all the planets retrograde cyclically. Most of them occur only once per year, and the retrograde period may last anywhere from 3 weeks to half the year. In fact, in 2025, we'll only have one short window from Feb 23rd to Mar 1st that's completely free on any planetary retrograde!
A little preview of what you can expect during Aries season….
Mars began its retrograde in the first week of December and will end (2/23) by the time you read this. Since Mars rules the physical body, you may have been feeling a bit depleted the past few months. So if you are normally the type that jumps head-first into the New Year with a renewed vigor, you may have found yourself back pedaling a bit and laying low instead. Fear not, that tenacious Aries energy will light your fire!
Venus, the planet of love, begins its retrograde March 1st and continues through fiery Aries season until April 12th. Got emotional baggage in your love life? You may be forced to reckon with it during this retrograde! This particular Venus retrograde in Aries is all about reevaluating our values regarding our independence and the things that are worth defending. Venus is the planet of harmony, and when it retrogrades in Aries, the sign of the warrior, we are called to remember that we sometimes need to fight for our peace. Amen to that.

Our first Mercury retrograde of 2025 begins March 15th, causing its usual communications chaos through April 7th. You’ll want to be extra cautious so you don’t fire off any impulsive texts or emails during this time. Be patient and express yourself with clarity.
That’s a good taste of what to expect this season, although there are seven additional planetary retrogrades to be mindful of in 2025! And not to overwhelm you, but we'll also have a full lunar eclipse on the night of the full Pink Moon (3/13) AND a partial solar eclipse on the 29th. Eclipses are known for their chaotic and transformative energies, rapid change and epiphanies. These cosmic reality checks keep life interesting!

Our Retrograde bar is an explosion of bright colors against a solid black backdrop; a bold and beautiful inky black butterfly swirl emerges in regal elegance....the same way you'll emerge from the chaos of the next retrograde! The aromatic palette is a harmonious medley of citrus and floral finesse. Zesty grapefruit and orange hit the high notes, setting an energizing tone. Jasmine, redcurrant, and rose take center stage, weaving a lush and elegant melody. Warm cedarwood, earthy oakmoss, and velvety white musk provide the perfect encore, leaving a rich, resonant finish.
Mars & Ares - Gods of War

Mars is the Roman God of War; Ares is his Greek counterpart. Mars was not just the God of War, he was the god of every event of destruction that reigned supreme within blood-ridden battlefields. That meant death, devastation, destabilization, and every bit of hostility that any soldier in the ancient world could muster. Sounds like a monster we all know a little too well right now! However, Mars was also the God of Agriculture and his wars secured peace for his kingdom and protected their lands, earning him reverence as a symbol of strength, courage, and military prowess. Ares, on the other hand, was known to be a merciless bloodthirsty tyrant notorious for his brutality and insanity. I think we may all be feeling a little too much of this destructive energy in the world right now, and I have to wonder where all this destabilizing energy will lead us. If you read my Aquarius blog post, you’ll recall that we are deep in the Age of Aquarius and a monumental shake-up is looming before us. Time will tell….just remember that what awaits us on the other side of this potential revolution is a new era of positive change and collaboration for the good of all. There’s a bigger picture that most of us cannot envision and we have to remember that new ways of being in this world cannot occur until we tear down the old, outdated structures. Yes, it’s going to hurt like hell, and none of us will come away completely unscathed, but our universal growth will propel humanity to a new era of love and peace.
PINK MOON 2025: APRIL 13th
The full Pink Moon of April is so named after the pink wildflower known as "moss pink" or creeping phlox that blooms profusely during early spring.
While the moon itself will not be pink, April's full moon beckons us further into the reawakening world of spring. The Pink Moon offers an opportunity to focus our goals on transformation, personal growth, budding new beginnings, and blossoming relationships.
Our Pink Moon bar features pink and white swirls over a black canvas with a blush pink crescent moon rising from the darkness. PInk Moon is a captivating mingling of pink peppercorn's spice, grapefruit's zest, and plum's sweetness. Intoxicating black rose, earthy cumin, creamy vanilla, deep patchouli, and rich labdanum notes create a luxurious and enigmatic scent journey.
Our Pink Moon soap is enhanced with creamy organic coconut milk for an extra thick & creamy lathering experience.
