Solstice Blessings for the longest day....

The sun, a golden orb in the sky so vast,

Reached its zenith, a moment meant to last.

Midsummer's Eve, a night of ancient lore,

When light reigns supreme and shadows are no more.

The Solstice arrives, a celestial pause,

As the sun seems to halt, defying all natural laws.

It gifts us daylight, long and ever bright,

Igniting the world with its golden, pure light.

Fields burst with life, a vibrant green hue,

Flowers unfurl, kissed by the morning dew.

Bees hum their tune, a busy, buzzing sound,

As nature thrives, on fertile, blessed ground.

A time for rejoicing, for gathering near,

With hearts full of joy, casting out all fear.

We celebrate abundance, the Earth's rich display,

And cherish the warmth of this longest day.

The sun dips slowly, painting skies with fire,

As we give thanks for light that lifts us higher.

A reminder of hope, a promise whispered low,

Of summer's embrace, and seeds that we sow.

Our Zenith bars celebrate the Summer Solstice (June 21st this year), marking the day the Sun reaches its highest zenith, directly over the Tropic of Cancer, and when the Earth reaches its maximum axial tilt towards the Sun. Solstice comes from the Latin words sol, meaning Sun and sistere, meaning to come to a stop or stand still. At the moment of the Summer Solstice, its zenith does not move north or south as during most other days of the year, but it stands still at the Tropic of Cancer. It then reverses its direction and starts moving south again. It is the year's longest day and shortest night, symbolizing the peak of summer. Of course, we here at Solstice are all about the Summer Solstice!

The design of our Zenith bars depicts a riotous blue wave, punctuated by a black pencil line that symbolically represents the division of the dark and the light, as from here on the days will continue to shorten, until we reach the Winter Solstice in December. Above the pencil line, the Sun's fiery rays burn brightly in swirls of orange and pink. Dramatic and bold!

Zenith is scented in a fan favorite - vibrant citrus top notes accented by summer-fresh peach & pineapple for an instant mood uplift. Heart notes of apple-like chamomile, raw honey, and tea leaves offer soothing comfort, deftly balanced by a grounding base of warm sandalwood, cedarwood, and musk. Summer's warmth has never felt this good!
