Terrazzo is a showcase of our commitment to our eco-friendly ethos! When we say we save everything, we mean it quite literally! Our Terrazzo bars utilize chopped up soap bits from a previous batch that didn't meet our high standard for #utilitarianart. 
 
Sometimes a soap's design doesn't appropriately reflect our well-planned intentions. In this case, although the scent was delightful, the fragrance caused us a bit of trouble and thus the resulting design failed to capture our idea. Performance-wise there was nothing wrong with the soap so there was no way we were going to waste all the time and effort and material$ that we had invested into it. So what's a soapmaker to do?! Chop it up and make a new soap from it! In doing so we were able to salvage the "ugly bits" and create a fresh new design that won't make you cringe when you see it sitting on your shower shelf, LOL! 
 
Just like true terrazzo tile, which first became popular in 15th century Italy when workers recycled marble remnants by embedding them in clay to create durable flooring for their terraces—hence the name "terrazzo" (Italian for "terraces"), our Terrazzo bars are a "masterpiece" (ok maybe that's being too generous, LOL!) of recycled bits. 
 
One thing is certain, though, our Terrazzo bars are a spicy delight! A heady heart of cardamom, ginger, and spun sugar create a swoon-worthy warmth and coziness - a perfect antidote to winter's chill! The warming aromatic scent of cardamom has been prized for centuries. It speaks the language of slowness; a subtle yet fragrant reminder to stay soft in a hard world. The ancient ones knew its secrets and now science proves it. 
 
These bars are slightly smaller than our standard sized bars and thus are priced accordingly.

Handcrafted soap will continue to evaporate water and lose weight over time. This makes for a finer, harder, and longer lasting bar. 
 
Ingredients: Distilled water, Coconut oil, Hi-oleic Sunflower oil, Olive oil, Sodium hydroxide*, Shea butter, Avocado oil, Mango butter, Kokum butter, Castor oil, Fragrance, Citric acid, Sodium lactate, Titanium dioxide & Mica
