Our Reverie candle heralds a beautiful heirloom ceramic tumbler in a natural, neutral beige shade. The word reverie is rooted in the French, rêver, meaning "to roam" or "to dream", and refers to a a state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts, like a daydream. Originally denoting delirium or wandering of the mind, reverie evolved into a gentler meaning: the free drift of thought, the soul’s quiet meandering through inner landscapes. The word thus carries both ancient wildness and later calm — a journey from madness to imagination, from rapture to reflection.
We've scented Reverie in a blend that we think perfectly encapsulates the gentle state of reverie. A delicate, refreshing floral opening is wrapped in a spicy symphony of warm cardamom and cinnamon, earthy carrot seed, and worn vintage leather. The finish is rich and warm, packed with depth and body: cedarwood smoke, warm amber, velvet woods, and sensual musk. It's the essence of a welcoming home, of places you feel so comfortable you never want to leave.
As with any candle, size matters! Small candles are best suited for small rooms with normal ceiling height. Think bathrooms or smaller sized bedrooms. The larger the room size, the larger the candle(s). Consider the 8-10 rule: for scent to permeate the entire room, position one 8oz candle for every 10ft of room radius. It’s all about discovering the perfect match between your candle and your room. Remember to allow your candle, no matter the size, to burn for at least one hour, or until the wax pool reaches the edge of the container, to prevent tunneling. We ALWAYS recommend that you ensure a FULL MELT POOL on your first burn of any candle (that means the wax is completely melted to the edges of the container). Candles have a memory and the first burn is crucial to the candle's future performance throughout its life. Don't limit your candle's potential!
