Persephone's Crown recognizes the divine duality of the Maiden Goddess of Spring who is also the Queen of the Underworld during the fall and winter. When Persephone descends to the Underworld each year at the Fall Equinox, her mother, Demeter, the Goddess of the Harvest, goes into mourning and sends the world into the dark days of winter, until her daughter returns with the Spring Equinox.
We centered our Persephone blend around the iconic fruit of her Underworld realm - the ruby jewel-toned pomegranate. It opens with bright citrus zest & tart red currant before descending into the dark heart of wild plum, pomegranate, crushed forest berries and dewy black rose petals. It finishes with a balancing touch of smooth woods and white musk. Intoxicating and intense!
