The spring is fresh and fearless
And every leaf is new,
The world is brimmed with moonlight,
The lilac brimmed with dew.
Here in the moving shadows
I catch my breath and sing -
My heart is fresh and fearless
And over-brimmed with spring.

May Night by Sara Teasdale

One thing I miss about living in the Midwest is the abundance of lilacs in the Spring! Lilacs are one of those childhood plants that are firmly planted in your olfactory memories...our sense of smell resides deep in our limbic system, in the most primordial part of our brain, where both emotions and memories are stored. Smelling a lilac brings you back to Grandma's house, back to warm afternoons when the air tasted sweet.

They're pretty hard to find in the South...I guess they're not too fond of the humidity. I have a spindly little Korean lilac in my backyard that I rescued from the Lowe's clearance rack some years ago, but those blooms are nothing like a traditional lilac.

With this beautiful bar, you can transport yourself to Granny's garden where lilacs grow in profusion!

Our Lilac and Lace bars capture the beauty and allure of the beloved lilac with mesmerizing swirls of purples, pinks, and dashes of green. A delicate white lace "doiley" adorns the tops of the bars, bringing a touch of elegance and grace to these beautiful bars... and will further bring to mind Gran and her doilies.  Refreshing top notes of green leaves awaken the senses, while the captivating heart notes of lilac, rose, lily of the valley, and jasmine transport you to a garden soiree.  Lilac lovers rejoice!

(Of course, here in the South I had no lilac to take a picture with, lol, and apparently I don't own anything with lace, lol!)

  • Handmade soaps need to breathe! We recommend storing your soap on a slatted or free draining soap dish so that it can air dry in between uses.

    • Remove botanical toppings prior to use.
    • Don't allow your soap to sit in a puddle of water.
    • Use a wash cloth, loofah or soap saver bag to extend the life of your soap bar.
    • Use your soap bar within one year of purchase. I know they're pretty to look at, but they're intended to be used so enjoy them! :)
    • Store unused soap out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperature fluctuations and high humidity conditions.
    • You may experience colored lather with dark or brightly colored bars; however, no permanent staining should occur.
    • Discontinue use if irritation occurs
    • Soaps are for external use only & are not edible
