HARVEST MOON: September 7, 2025
For centuries, people have followed the cycles of the moon, using its phases to guide planting seasons, celebrations, and religious observances. Full moon names were a significant part of ancient cultures worldwide, reflecting their connection to nature and the rhythms of life. These names held deep meaning and were closely tied to the natural world.
The full moon that happens nearest to the fall equinox (September 22nd this year) always takes on the name "harvest moon". Strange things happen around this full moon! This full moon rises at nearly the same time—around sunset—for several evenings in a row, giving farmers several extra evenings of moonlight and allowing them to finish their harvests before the frosts of fall arrive. Just as farmers harvest their crops, the Harvest Moon signifies gathering the fruits of your labor, both literally and metaphorically, representing the culmination of efforts and intentions throughout the year. It's a time to reflect on the lessons learned, the growth achieved, and the abundance in your life. The alignment of the Harvest Moon with the autumn equinox encourages a balance between light and dark, inner and outer worlds. And, too, just as the trees shed their leaves in autumn, this moon marks a time when we should release all that no longer serves us, making room for new blessings.
Our Harvest Moon bars depict a bright crescent moon dominating a golden-streaked sky over a mountainous landscape shrouded in twilight's shadow. Yes, we know that we're taking some artistic liberties here using a crescent moon rather than a full moon....but hey, that moon is like a bonus soap that you can detach and use on its own!
The intriguing, spicy scent of this bar delivers spellbinding drama - subtle wisps of smoke curl around orange peel, cinnamon, clove, and sandalwood for an unforgettable aromatic journey. A topping of glittery red moons perched atop the bars brings an enchanting dose of #moonmagick!
(Ok...for you purists out there...mea culpa! Our math was off! The Oct full moon is technically one day closer to the Equinox and thus Oct is the true Harvest Moon....woops!)

Handmade soaps need to breathe! We recommend storing your soap on a slatted or free draining soap dish so that it can air dry in between uses.
- Remove botanical toppings prior to use.
- Don't allow your soap to sit in a puddle of water.
- Use a wash cloth, loofah or soap saver bag to extend the life of your soap bar.
- Use your soap bar within one year of purchase. I know they're pretty to look at, but they're intended to be used so enjoy them! :)
- Store unused soap out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperature fluctuations and high humidity conditions.
- You may experience colored lather with dark or brightly colored bars; however, no permanent staining should occur.
- Discontinue use if irritation occurs
