Our all natural Elderberry soap contains real elderberries hand-harvested from our own bushes! We included a generous portion of elderberry puree for tons of antioxidant goodness. The water portion of this soap contains an elderflower infusion as well! Top notes of fresh ripe berries and black currant backed by the syrupy sweetness of elderflower liqueur and deeper base notes of aged oak and amber.

Elderflower and elderberries are loaded with antioxidants with innate anti-aging benefits. Both are also mildly astringent, helping to reduce the size and appearance of pores.

*We can't promise, nor do we make any claims that our elderberry soap will provide you with any significant skin benefits. We just hope that you enjoy the love and care that we pour into our soap!

Isn't pH weird, y'all??! You would think that this soap (and our mulberry soap, too) would be deep purple in color due to the inclusion of the berry puree. But the the anthocyanins (the purple compounds in berries) are highly dependent on pH. The high pH of the lye solution (lye itself has a pH of 14, while the resulting finished soap has a pH of 9-10) causes the color to morph from dark purple to a lime green. Meanwhile the fresh elderflower infusion used for the lye solution turned a stunning yellow and the resulting soap batter became chartreuse! The finished soap is a dull brown. Crazy right?!

Approx 2.5-3oz bar

Handcrafted soap will continue to evaporate water and lose weight over time. This makes for a finer, harder, and longer lasting bar.

Ingredients: Saponified oils of: extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter, avocado oil, hi-oleic sunflower oil, shea butter and castor oil; elderberry fruit puree, elderflower tea/water infusion, sodium hydroxide, fragrance; topped with poppy seeds

Elderberry Artisan Botanical Soap

  • Handmade soaps need to breathe! We recommend storing your soap on a slatted or free draining soap dish so that it can air dry in between uses.

    • Remove botanical toppings prior to use.
    • Don't allow your soap to sit in a puddle of water.
    • Use a wash cloth, loofah or soap saver bag to extend the life of your soap bar.
    • Use your soap bar within one year of purchase. I know they're pretty to look at, but they're intended to be used so enjoy them! :)
    • Store unused soap out of direct sunlight and away from extreme temperature fluctuations and high humidity conditions.
    • You may experience colored lather with dark or brightly colored bars; however, no permanent staining should occur.
    • Discontinue use if irritation occurs
    • Soaps are for external use only & are not edible
